RSS (really simple syndication) is a service Desert Rose Church uses to make the
weekly message available to desertrosechurch.com visitors
who use RSS readers. Messages are made available through RSS feeds, which use
a technology called XML to deliver messages to your desktop or web browser.
RSS allows you to control how and when you receive web content. It allows you to
quickly and easily retrieve the Desert Rose weekly message, since you won't need
to visit the site individually once you've subscribed. Additionally, you don't need
to provide any personally identifying information.
If you click an RSS link and you don't have a compatible RSS reader installed,
you will see XML code displayed in your browser. If this happens, copy and paste
the feed address (found in the table below) into an RSS reader, or use a browser
that supports RSS feeds, such as Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.
RSS readers (also called aggregators) will also download and display RSS feeds for
you. A number of free and commercial RSS readers are readily available on the
Internet. Many are separate, "stand-alone" programs; others will allow you to add
RSS feeds to a web page.
The table below will help you to copy Desert Rose's Feed Address, so you can
paste it into the RSS reader of your choice. It will also allow you to directly access
Desert Rose's podcast feed by clicking the RSS Link.
